Siemens Competition

The Siemens Competition is open to high school students.  Students are encouraged to do research in mathematics, engineering, biological, or physical science.  Students, working individually or on a team of two or three, will have the opportunity to present their research to leading scientists in their field.

  • This competition is available to students in grade 7 -12.  You must submit up to three original haiku poems to be eligible for this award.  Click Here!
My Preparedness Story: Staying Healthy and Resilient Video Challenge - March 28, 2016 - $2,000
  • Open to students between the ages of 14 and 23, students must submit a short video to YouTube of no more than 60 seconds that answers the question, "How are you helping family, friends and community protect their health during disasters and every day?" in order to be considered for the award.  Click Here!
Jimmie Crutchfield Essay Contest - March 28, 2016 - $1,000
  • This contest is open to high school seniors.  You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and submit an essay on no more than 1200 words on "Who is Jimmie Crutchfield and why he is significant to Negro League history?"  Click Here!
$1,000 You Deserve It Scholarship - March 29, 2016 - $1,000

Young American Creative Patriotic Art Award - March 31, 2016 - $10,000
  • The Young American Creative Patriotic Art Award is available to home school and high school students grades 9-12.  Students are required to submit a work of patriotic art on paper or canvas.  You must use water color, pencil, pastel, charcoal, tempra, crayon, acrylic, pen and ink, or oil.  This award is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary VFW.  Click Here!

  • This scholarship is available to seniors.  You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and submit one essay on how the Tuskegee Airmen have impacted you personally as well as an additional personal essay in order to be considered for the award.  Click Here!
South Carolina Bar YLD Instagram Scholarship Competition - April 18, 2016 - $2,000
  • The South Carolina Bar YLD Instagram Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are residents of and attending a high school in South Carolina.  You must plan to be enrolled in a post secondary institution of rhte 2016-2017 school year and submit an Instagram video on one of the four topics presented on the sponsor's website in order to be considered for this award.   
Create Real Impact Contest - April 29, 2016 - $1500
  • This contest is open to full time students between the ages of 14-22.  To enter you must create an original work (video, music, creative writing, or artwork) showcasing your idea for a solution to the problem of distracted and reckless driving.  Click Here!

Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Essay Contest 
Award - $5,000
Deadline - February 25, 2016
In honor of Black History Month, Regions presents the Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Essay Contest.  Open to high school students in states with Regions branches.  
Eligibility: 1) Be a legal US resident of either Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas or Virginia. 2) Be 13 year or older. 3) Be enrolled in 12th grade in a public or private school located in the United States.  4) Have a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Religious Liberty Essay Contest
​Award - $2,000
Deadline - March 4, 2016
The Religious Liberty Essay Scholarship is open to high school juniors and seniors.  The Religious Essay Scholarship Contest engages students in church-state issues by directing them to express a point of view on a religious liberty topic.  Essays are judged on the depth of their content, the mastery of the topic, and the skill with which they are written.  Students should develop a point of view on the issue and demonstrate critical thinking, using appropriate examples, reasons and other evidence to support their position.  Grand prize is $2,000 and trip for two to Washington, DC.  Second prize is  $1000 and third price is $250.

National WWII Museum Essay Contest
Award - $1,000
Deadline - March 15, 2016
The National WWII Museum Essay Contest is open to high school students in the United States, US Territories, and military bases.  Students are required to write an essay responding to Thompson's questions and concern about the availability of liberty and justice for all Americans, regardless of race, identity, or background. Here are some unique scholarships for you.  

For the Activist 
Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest - $500
This scholarship contest is available to high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a college or university.  You must create a public service advertisement video (PSA) which raises awareness of the severity of the consequences of drunk driving among your peers to qualify for this award.  The video must be uploaded to YouTube and be no longer than 3 minutes long. Deadline: November 30, 2015 

Look Twice Save a Life Scholarship - $1,000
This scholarship is available to high school seniors planning to attend an accredited college or university. You must create a form of social awareness that inspires other students to focus on Looking Twice for Motorcycle Safety to qualify for this award.  This can be a video, artwork, essay or anything that would engage other students to focus on safe driving. Deadline: December 1, 2015

For the Animal Lover 
Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship - $10,000
This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors.  You must have been active in promoting vegetarianism in your school and/or community; and have demonstrated a compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through vegetarian diet/lifestyle to be considered for this award. Deadline: February 20, 2016

For Artists and Creatives 
Youth Free Expression Project Film Contest - $1,000
Provided by the National Coalition Against Censorship, the Youth Free Expression Project Film Contest is open to filmmakers age 19 and younger who are living in the U.S. (citizenship not required).  To qualify, you must submit an original film of four minutes or less about a censorship issue or event form the past 40 years or explore what you think will be the major free speech questions of the future. Entries can be videos of any kind, including documentary, animation, experimental, satire, fictional narrative, or music video.  Deadline: December 14, 2015

Create a Greeting Card Scholarship - $10,000
This scholarship is open to currently enrolled high schools students grade 9 -12.  To enter, you must design a holiday, get well, or birthday greeting card and submit your work to be judged.  Your photo, art, or graphics must be your own original work and you must be at least 14 years of age to be eligible for this award.  Deadline: February 26, 2015

For the Athlete 
USCBC Chuck Hall Star of Tomorrow - $6,000
This is open to male high school students who are members of the United States Bowling Congress. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Deadline: December 1, 2015

For the Bookworm 
Anthem Essay Contest - $2,000
This contest is open to 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students.  You must submit an essay of between 600 - 1200 words based on Ayn Rand's "Anthem."  You must choose one of the three topics provided on the sponsor's website.  Deadline: March 25, 2016.

Annual Signet Classic Scholarship Essay Contest - $1,000
This scholarship is open to high school juniors and seniors.  This year's essay competition is based on the book, "Little Women."  You must write an essay on one of five selected topics listed on the website to be considered.  Deadline: April 14, 2016.

For the Busy Bee 
Niche $2,00 "No Essay" Scholarship - $2,000
Open to high school students grade 9 -12.  Deadline: October 31, 2015

VIP Voice $5,000 Scholarship - $5,000
Open to high school students grade 9 -12.  Deadline: October 31, 2015

For the Competitor 
CKSF Scholarship Competition - $2,500
This scholarship is available to high school students grades 9 -12.  You must register to participate in scholarship quizzes and test your knowledge of topics ranging from general "common knowledge" to specific academic subjects, books, websites, and even movies.  You will be scored on time and accuracy.  Deadline: varies

For the Dancer 
Dizzy Feet Foundation - $10,000
The Dizzy Feet Foundation was created to celebrate the love of dance.  The Dizzy Feed Foundation scholarship is open to students who are at least 15 years of age who are studying at an accredited dance school, studio, university or other institution.  You must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate talent technical skill and dance expression to be considered for this award.  Deadline: varies

For the Do Gooder
Student Caregiver Scholarship - $1,500
Available for high school students planning to attend an accredited college or university.  You must have been caring for an older relative while attending school.  Students who are matriculating in Fall 2015 who have been involved in care giving during high school and intend to do so while attending college are eligible to apply for this award.  Submit your story through a 1500 word essay or 2 minute video detailing your experience of being a caregiver.  Deadline: December 31, 2015.

For the Fashion Icon
FIDM National Scholarship - 100 % tuition
The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Scholarship Competition is open to all US high school seniors who would like to attend FIDM.  To be considered you must submit a project in one of the following categories: Fashion Executive of Tomorrow, Interior Designer of Tomorrow, Graphic Designer of Tomorrow, Fashion Designer of Tomorrow, Visual Designer of Tomorrow, and Digital Media Artist of Tomorrow.  Deadline: varies.

For the History Buff
Defining Them of Our Age Essay Contest - $1,500
Available to high school students grade 9 -12, this scholarship is provided by The Fountain Magazine, the Defining Theme of Our Age Essay Contest.  You must submit a 1,500-2,500 word essay on the following topic.  "How do you think history will record the 21st century?" Submissions should be factual, but with an inspirational style that will feed both your reason and soul.  Deadline: November 30, 2015

$5,000 Scholarship for Teens from Clearasil

Clearasil's mission is to remind teens that their acne will end, and teachers are the perfect people to deliver this reassuring message.  So Clearasil is offering teens the chance to win a $5,000 scholarship if they ask their teacher for a Teacher Truth.  A Teacher Truth is a piece of perspective, written in a sentence like this: "Teen acne ends. You know what doesn't? ____________."

Contest entry:
1. Get your teacher to write his/her Teacher Truth on a board.
2, In that blank space, your teacher writes something he or she experiences year after year in class.  
3. Then take a picture of your teacher next to the board. 
4. Submit your entry by sharing your entry on Instagram or Twitter and tag it with the hashtag: #TeacherTruthsContest.

If you do all of the above you will be entered for a chance to win $5,000. 

Note: Scholarship is open to all students age 13 and up.  Clearasil will give away 10 scholarships total, one per day during the two week contest.
