Students are encouraged to do research in mathematics, engineering, biological, or physical science. Students, working individually or on a team of two or three, will have the opportunity to present their research to leading scientists in their field.

The Religious Essay Scholarship Contest engages students in church-state issues by directing them to express a point of view on a religious liberty topic. Essays are judged on the depth of their content, the mastery of the topic, and the skill with which they are written. Students should develop a point of view on the issue and demonstrate critical thinking, using appropriate examples, reasons and other evidence to support their position. For the Activist Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest - $500 This scholarship contest is available to high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a college or university. You must create a public service advertisement video (PSA) which raises awareness of the severity of the consequences of drunk driving among your peers to qualify for this award. The video must be uploaded to YouTube and be no longer than 3 minutes long. Deadline: November 30, 2015 Look Twice Save a Life Scholarship - $1,000 This scholarship is available to high school seniors planning to attend an accredited college or university. You must create a form of social awareness that inspires other students to focus on Looking Twice for Motorcycle Safety to qualify for this award. This can be a video, artwork, essay or anything that would engage other students to focus on safe driving. Deadline: December 1, 2015 For the Animal Lover Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship - $10,000 This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors. You must have been active in promoting vegetarianism in your school and/or community; and have demonstrated a compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through vegetarian diet/lifestyle to be considered for this award. Deadline: February 20, 2016 For Artists and Creatives Youth Free Expression Project Film Contest - $1,000 Provided by the National Coalition Against Censorship, the Youth Free Expression Project Film Contest is open to filmmakers age 19 and younger who are living in the U.S. (citizenship not required). To qualify, you must submit an original film of four minutes or less about a censorship issue or event form the past 40 years or explore what you think will be the major free speech questions of the future. Entries can be videos of any kind, including documentary, animation, experimental, satire, fictional narrative, or music video. To enter, you must design a holiday, get well, or birthday greeting card and submit your work to be judged. Deadline: February 26, 2015 For the Athlete USCBC Chuck Hall Star of Tomorrow - $6,000 This is open to male high school students who are members of the United States Bowling Congress. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Deadline: December 1, 2015 For the Bookworm Anthem Essay Contest - $2,000 This contest is open to 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students. Annual Signet Classic Scholarship Essay Contest - $1,000 This scholarship is open to high school juniors and seniors. This year's essay competition is based on the book, "Little Women."
