HBCU Scholarships - Howard University

The Howard University Freshman Scholarship Program is designed to assist accepted first time in college students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement throughout their secondary school career and have chosen to attend Howard University.  Scholarships are automatically awarded on a first come, first served, basis to eligible candidates. A separate application is not required.  Scholarships are awarded until all funds have been exhausted and not all eligible applications will receive an award.


Presidential
Criteria:

• SAT 1500-1600
• ACT 34-36
• GPA 3.75 or higher

Award:

• Tuition, fees, room and board, and $950 book voucher

Laureate (More Information)
Criteria:

• National Achievement Finalist Scholars who designate Howard as their First Choice.

Award:

• Tuition, fees, room and board, and $950 book voucher

Founders
Criteria:

• SAT 1400-1490
• ACT 32-33
• GPA 3.50 or higher

Award:

• Tuition, fees, room and board, and $500 book voucher

Capstone
Criteria:

• SAT 1300-1390
• ACT 32-33
• GPA 3.25 or higher

Award:

• Tuition, fees, and Room

Legacy
Criteria

• SAT 1170-1290
• ACT 26-28
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• OR ranked #1 or #2 in class

• Tuition and fees
