Application Requirements
Basic Eligibility Requirements
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Be at least 17 years of age and not older than 23 by December 31st of the year you start college
- If attending college (post high school) you must have earned less than 30 semester or 45 quarter hours of college credit
- Complete high school/equivalent certificate
- Take the ACT or SAT test prior to deadline and receive at least the minimum scores listed below:
ACT: Math 21 / English 22
SAT: Math 520 / Critical Reading 530
Applicant may apply for one of these options:
- NAVY
- NURSE CORPS
Degree Requirements
- Major in any field (85% of scholarships offered to Tier 1 or 2 majors)
- Take the normal course load required for degree
- Enroll in two Naval Science Courses per year
- Complete the following courses: Calculus, Physics, National Security Policy/ US Military Affairs, English grammar/composition
- One semester of language or culture
Military Service Requirements
- No obligation for first year of college
- Upon completion of degree, receive commission as Ensign (USN) or 2nd Lieutenant (USMC)
- Five year active duty obligation for Navy Option
- Four year active duty obligation for Nurse Corps Option
- Four year active duty obligation for Marine Corps
